Room 205- Monday morning before classes
May. 13th, 2019 11:01 amFor the last two weeks, Janet had had daily phone calls from her parents. They wanted to make sure she was doing okay, and honestly she missed them, even if she knew she probably sounded a little annoyed when she talked to them.
"Yes, I went to church... Umma, I'm not going to have them write a note that I was there. I can send you a selfie next week... I'm pretty sure if Jesus was around today, he'd take the occasional selfie in front of a church... I am too funny."
Walking as she talked, she just so happened to see something through the window, flying somewhere off in the distance. It looked too big to be a bird, so she moved closer and peered out, frowning as it swooped back around, and... yep. Not a bird. Super not a bird.
"Umma I've gotta go. Homework emergency."
She hung up without thinking, and debated just not going to class today. And then she thought, maybe she could get some good pictures.
